From Prospects Universe to the New York Mets: Carter Dierdorf
One of the most exciting players in our recruiting network is Carter Dierdorf, who signed a professional contract with the New York Mets in July 2026.
Dierdorf began his college baseball career at North Greenville University before transferring to the University of West Georgia. After a strong 2025 season, he transferred to the University of Pittsburgh, where he became the Panthers' starting first baseman in the ACC.
In 2026, Dierdorf hit 11 home runs, recorded 38 RBIs, and set Pittsburgh's single-season record with 60 walks.
His performance earned him a professional opportunity with the Mets organization.

That experience led him to create Prospects Universe.
