About the Founder
Built by a player, for players.
Ryan Barry founded Prospects Universe after living the recruiting process firsthand as a pitcher at the University of Tampa. As a freshman in high school he weighed 115 pounds and threw 65 mph - invisible to every college coach in the country. Over four years he gained 65 pounds and 22 mph through relentless training, weight room work, and a complete mechanical overhaul in the winter of his junior year. By senior fall he was throwing 87 mph, had offers on the table, and committed to the University of Tampa. He built Prospects Universe so no talented player gets left behind simply because the process evaluated them too early.
Today Prospects Universe has helped 80+ players commit across every level - from JUCO to Power 4 - through years of real coach relationships, a 5,000+ verified coach database, and 33K+ Instagram reach that puts players directly in front of the coaches who matter.
